Handmade Dining Set

Herringbone Table + Naturally-Dyed
and Hand-Painted Upholstered Benches

With a love for geometry and mixing woods, I created this herringbone table from a mix of red oak, pine, poplar and mahogany woods. For seating, I created a pair of benches to bring a casual and communal feeling. I hand-dyed textiles with natural dye I extracted from avocado pits and skins and upholstered the benches for comfort. I hand-painted two different patterns onto the bases to give each bench a unique, one-of-a-kind personality.
